Brandon has been chosen to supply specialist medical lighting to many of the new PFI hospitals and major NHS refurbishment projects under construction.
The company reports record orders for operating theatre lamps from their new Galaxy Ultra range, minor surgical lamps, examination lamps, emergency power units and surgeon's control panels. These combine to provide the "complete" package of operating theatre equipment, with specialist bespoke products designed and manufactured to suit specific customer specifications. PFI projects have found that Brandon's commitment to innovation and design has enabled them to satisfy modern healthcare demands.
Recent PFI success stories include Hexham Hospital, which chose Galaxy Ultra for its five theatres due to its Best in Class performance for all key criteria identified as being important to surgeons and theatre staff.
The Countess of Chester also chose Galaxy for its ultra high performance, ease of use and versatility. These factors plus its visual and physical comfort combined to make it the first choice from many competitors.
The latest PFI order has been from Hull Maternity Hospital where Brandon has supplied a range of products to meet the ever-increasing demands from its nine theatres. Alongside the popular Galaxy range, Hull has also utilised Brandon's expertise in designing special surgeons control panels, complete with emergency power systems and pendants.
