Brandon Medical's range of medical lighting products include operating theatre lamps, minor surgical lamps, examination lights, bed head lighting, operating theatre control panels and emergency power systems. These combine to provide the "complete" package of operating theatre lighting equipment, with specialist bespoke products designed and manufactured to suit specific customer specifications. The medical lighting products are supplied to Government and private hospitals in Great Britain and overseas, in fact over 60% of output is exported to over 60 countries.

Over the years, Brandon Medical have worked on a number of prestigious medical lighting projects abroad including the Clinical Centre of Belgrade, Bahrain Specialist Hospital, King Abdullah Hospital, Riks Hospital (Oslo) and Mount Elizabeth Hospital in conjunction with Gleneagles Hospital Group. With competition from around the world, it is Brandon’s expertise in operating room lights, surgical lighting and other specialist medical lighting that makes them stand out from the crowd.

Brandon Medical have also successfully supplied medical lighting to a number of PFI projects including Hull, Hexham, Bishop Auckland, Hereford and Wythenshawe hospitals. Here they successfully installed full theatre lighting, from operating room lights to surgical lamps. Many of these projects have also included examination lights and bedhead lighting.

By applying their knowledge in design and manufacture of medical lights, Brandon Medical have won numerous awards for developments in surgical lighting and operating room lights. Recent medical lighting innovations have included the new operating room light, the Galaxy Ultra and the Astralite, the new minor surgical lamp.

The medical lighting design team is led by Nigel Davill. As Technical Director of Brandon Medical, Nigel is a leading designer of operating theatre lamps and is responsible for ensuring compliance with medical lighting regulatory standards. Nigel is also the advisor to the British Standards Institute on surgical lamps and represents the UK on the International Standards Committee. His knowledge of surgical lighting and operating room lights has led to Brandon leading the way in medical lighting innovation.
